Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous research publications as well as numerous grants, is also the recipient of numerous international and national awards. She has offered policy and research consultations to many agencies and departments around the globe. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
